FBI Investigates Death of 18-Year-Old Straight-A Student on Carnival Cruise

The FBI is investigating the mysterious death of an 18-year-old Florida teenager aboard a Carnival cruise ship over the weekend. Anna Kepner, a straight-A student from Titusville, died on Saturday while the Carnival Horizon was travelling from Miami to the Caribbean. The exact circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown.

Her family described her as a 'people person' who 'lived her 18 years to the fullest.' They told ABC News she had recently completed entry tests for the military and had chosen a career path to 'help her community.' 'She was the best child you ever could meet,' they said. 'When she walked into a room, she would light it up.'

Kepner began gymnastics at age two and later joined her high school's varsity cheerleading team. A teacher from Temple Christian School, Mr Brunner, paid tribute on Facebook, recalling how she 'brought warmth and energy into the classroom.' He wrote: 'Your curiosity, your gentle spirit, and the way you cared for those around you made a lasting impression on me.'
