Singer and actor Peter Andre has treated his family to an extravagant holiday in Cyprus, combining quality time with his children and a professional reunion with his co-stars from the hit Channel 5 drama The Sunshine Murders.
A Star-Studded Family Getaway
The 52-year-old star, who shares children Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, with his first wife Katie Price, made the most of the trip by staying at the luxurious adults-only Asimina Suites Hotel on Paphos' beachfront. This is the same five-star location where extensive scenes for his new show were filmed.
Andre was joined by his girlfriend, Jasmine Orr, for the sun-drenched break. Social media photos revealed the family enjoying a spacious suite with a private pool, taking full advantage of the hotel's amenities, which include a sandy beach, two outdoor interconnected swimming pools, a spa, and a gym.
More Than Just a Holiday
This trip served a dual purpose for the Mysterious Girl singer. While it was a chance for a family holiday, it also marked a reunion with his co-stars from The Sunshine Murders. The detective series, which premiered on September 8, stars Andre as criminal pathologist George Constantinou.
During the holiday, the cast participated in a Q&A session. His co-star, Emily Corcoran, explained the importance of the Cypriot location, stating, "Location is very important in television and in particular in cozy crime. They almost become like a character... and we needed to find a location that gave that really great level of escapism."
A Career Milestone and International Ambitions
For Peter Andre, landing this role was a significant achievement. He told The Mirror in September, "From studying acting as a child, to now finally starring in a 10 part International TV Drama series alongside some phenomenal actors is a great feeling."
Originally hired for just one episode, his role was expanded after he impressed series creator Emily Corcoran and her mother with his native Greek accent during his audition. The show is set to air not only in the UK but also in America and Australia, which insiders believe will significantly boost his profile abroad.
General manager of the hotel, Aristos Diomedous, commented on the production, saying, "It was an honour to welcome the production of The Sunshine Murders to our hotel. Partnerships like this not only showcase this superb property but also highlight Cyprus as a world-class filming and holiday destination."
The family enjoyed local cuisine at the hotel's beachfront restaurant, Kymata, making this holiday a blend of family bonding, professional celebration, and luxury relaxation.
