Mundo Pixar Experience Launches in London with Immersive Film Worlds

The global phenomenon known as the Mundo Pixar Experience has officially opened its doors in London, marking the first time the largest immersive Pixar exhibition on Earth has arrived in the United Kingdom. This landmark attraction invites visitors to step directly into the beloved animated universes that have captivated audiences for decades.

Iconic Film Sets Recreated with Meticulous Detail

Located just a stone's throw from Wembley Stadium in north London, the exhibition spans over 3,500 square metres within a purpose-built venue at Wembley Park. It features 14 meticulously recreated rooms that bring to life iconic scenes from Pixar's most adored films. From Andy's Toy Story bedroom to Monsters Inc's Scare Floor, each set is crafted with life-sized props, immersive sound effects, and dynamic lighting to transport guests into these cinematic worlds.

Visitors can experience Finding Nemo's undersea odyssey with jellyfish cascading from the ceiling, admire Luca's quaint Italian hometown from the seat of a red Vespa, race into Flo's Café from Cars to meet Lightning McQueen, or soar through the skies with Carl Fredricksen from Up. The exhibition also includes journeys through the Headquarters of Riley's emotions from Inside Out 2 and transitions from Coco's Land of the Living to the Land of the Dead.

Overwhelming Public Response and Extended Availability

The London exhibition has already proven to be a massive hit, with the first few weeks completely sold out and additional dates being added to accommodate demand. It runs from now until June, operating every day except Tuesdays, with daily time slots beginning at either 9am or 10am and running until 7pm. During UK school holidays, the exhibition opens daily, including Tuesdays, to welcome families and enthusiasts.

Jay Ward, a creative director at Pixar, emphasized the exhibition's commitment to detail, stating that it seeks to recapture the studio's trademark attention to hidden Easter eggs and fun elements. The experience includes an Easter egg hunt featuring the iconic Luxo Ball, hidden in every room for observant visitors to discover.

Practical Information for Visitors

The exhibition is easily accessible by car, with public parking available at the venue for an additional fee. For those using public transport, the closest tube station is Wembley Park on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. From there, visitors head straight down Wembley Way, take a left before reaching Boxpark, and continue until they see billboards adorned with favourite characters guiding the way.

Upon arrival, guests undergo a quick bag check and ticket scan before entering an auditorium where a short film builds excitement by showcasing beloved characters and movie moments from Pixar's 30-year history. Visitors can then explore the rooms at their own pace, with an expected completion time of 45 minutes to one hour.

The experience begins in the immaculate garden of Carl Fredricksen's house from Up, allowing guests to peek inside and sit on the famous two armchairs. Throughout the exhibition, designated photo points provide ample opportunities for capturing memories, though every inch of the space is photoworthy due to its impressive attention to detail.

A Nostalgic Journey Through Pixar's Catalogue

The exhibition offers something for everyone, starting with 1995's Toy Story to evoke nostalgia and including newer classics such as Cars (2006), Inside Out (2015), Elemental (2023), and Luca (2024). This diverse selection allows fans to experience a comprehensive catalogue of Pixar hits, with the Toy Story rooms being a particular highlight for their scale and interactive elements.

Families and film enthusiasts alike will appreciate the chance to peel back the curtain and be transported into the sets of their favourite movies, which come to life before their eyes. With over 25 sculptures and immersive environments, the Mundo Pixar Experience stands as a rare and real treat for anyone who cherishes the magic of Pixar storytelling.
