More than 80 bank branches across the UK are set to close permanently in June, as major high street lenders continue to shift towards digital services. NatWest, Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are among the banks shutting a combined total of 86 branches this month.
The first closures will take place on Monday, June 1, with most scheduled to be completed by the end of June. Santander has already closed all its 40 branches planned for 2026, with four more closures expected by January 2027.
Customers are advised to check the full list of affected branches and closure dates, as some locations marked with an asterisk may have their dates changed if banking hubs are recommended for those areas.
