January ski holidays can be surprisingly affordable, with all-inclusive packages starting from just £320 per person. Booking website Heidi has revealed the four most budget-friendly European resorts for last-minute trips, including flights, accommodation, transfers and lift passes.
Bansko in Bulgaria and Zakopane in Poland top the list as the cheapest options. For those who prefer to exclude ski passes, prices are even lower. Travellers can also search 'anywhere' on Heidi’s site for flexible deals.
Marcus Blunt, co-founder of Heidi, advises: 'If you’re not restricted to school holidays, go skiing in January – it’s off-peak and quieter, with great snow conditions. Choose lower altitude resorts to save money, and opt for a long weekend or mid-week break to cut costs.'
He added that flying mid-week rather than at weekends can save hundreds of pounds. 'Our customers prioritise great value over the lowest price,' Blunt said, highlighting flexibility and convenience as key factors.
