Jet2 Passengers Furious After Being Put in 'Broom Cupboard' Hotel Room
Jet2 slammed over 'broom cupboard' hotel room

Angry holidaymakers have blasted Jet2 after being placed in what they described as a "broom cupboard" hotel room during their package holiday in Turkey.

The couple, who paid £1,200 for their break, were horrified to find their room had no windows, a broken shower, and barely enough space to move. "It was like a prison cell," one of them said.

No Luxury, Just Disappointment

Expecting a comfortable stay, the pair were shocked when they opened the door to their tiny room. "There wasn’t even space for our suitcases," they explained. "The shower didn’t work properly, and the lack of natural light made it feel claustrophobic."

Jet2’s Response

After complaining, Jet2 moved them to another hotel—but the ordeal didn’t end there. The replacement accommodation was reportedly no better, with dirty sheets and malfunctioning air conditioning.

"We just wanted a relaxing holiday," the couple said. "Instead, we got stress and frustration."

Passenger Rights Under Scrutiny

This incident raises questions about package holiday guarantees. Under UK law, tour operators must provide accommodations that meet reasonable standards. If they fail, passengers may be entitled to compensation.
