McDonald's has launched a football-themed menu in the UK to celebrate the FIFA World Cup, introducing new burgers, sides, and collectable items. The World Cup-inspired burger, priced at £9.19, features two beef patties, cheese, bacon, crispy and grilled onions, lettuce, and sweet Carolina BBQ sauce in a toasted bun. For chicken lovers, the Mexican Chipotle Chicken burger (£7.49) offers a crispy chicken breast with chipotle mayo, smoky sauce, slivered and crispy onions, lettuce, and white cheddar cheese in a football-shaped bun.
New sides include Crunchy Cheese Bites, filled with Gouda and mozzarella in a crispy breadcrumb coating, starting from £2.79. The World Cup meals, starting at £9.29 for a medium Big Mac Meal, come with a collectable cup. Happy Meals also get a World Cup makeover, with Squishmallows plush toys dressed in football tops available for kids to collect.
McDonald's is also introducing two permanent McCrispy variants: the Spicy McCrispy (£5.99 solo, £7.49 meal) with a creamy spicy mayo, and the Cheese & Bacon McCrispy (£7.09 solo, £8.59 meal) with black pepper mayo. A new Frank's RedHot Ketchup breakfast range includes a Sausage & Egg McMuffin and a Breakfast Wrap with the spicy ketchup.
The Big Tasty burger returns with a quarter-pounder beef patty, starting at £6.29. The Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry remains on the menu at £2.59 for a regular size. A new Matcha Green Tea Frappé, priced at £3.69 for a medium, blends matcha with vanilla, ice, and cream.
