Pennsylvania Girl Scout Achieves Historic Cookie Sales Milestone

A six-year-old Girl Scout from Pennsylvania has shattered records by selling an astonishing 100,000 boxes of cookies this season, marking the highest single-season sales in the organisation's history. Pim Neill, a resident of Pittsburgh, reached this monumental achievement over the weekend, leveraging the power of social media to drive her campaign nationwide.

TikTok Campaign Fuels Unprecedented Success

Pim's journey began with a simple yet effective strategy: creating TikTok videos that opened with the line, "Hi, my name is Pim. Do you want to buy some Girl Scout cookies?" Her father, Luke Anorak-Neill, explained to CBS Pittsburgh that Pim was inspired to join the Girl Scouts at age three after observing other girls selling cookies, a tradition often seen as synonymous with the organisation.

Initially, Pim and her family sold over 800 boxes within the first week without digital assistance, but they turned to TikTok to amplify her efforts. Each Girl Scout receives a personalised website for orders, and by sharing this link alongside Pim's engaging videos, sales skyrocketed. "People on TikTok rallied," Anorak-Neill noted. "They loved her. They adored her. They supported her, and it has been so incredible."

From Local Goals to National Recognition

Pim's initial target was to sell 5,000 boxes to win a trip to Niagara Falls, a location meaningful to her parents. After swiftly meeting that goal, she ambitiously aimed for 10,000 boxes, refusing to compromise. "She was not going to budge," her father recalled, leading to a viral surge that saw over 20,000 boxes sold in just 24 hours following another video.

Driven by Pim's determination to "sell more cookies than anyone," the family set their sights on 100,000 boxes. Anorak-Neill expressed gratitude for the support from the Girl Scouts community, stating, "We've had so much support from Girl Scouts navigating it... we're just excited that we're inspiring so many more girls."

Historic Achievement and Ongoing Campaign

On Sunday, Pim officially surpassed 100,000 boxes, a milestone her family celebrated on TikTok. In a heartfelt message, they announced, "Hey everyone. Pim has sold 100,000 box of Girl Scout cookies! Her store will remain open until March 22nd and we will continue to sell cookies in our community and beyond." They extended thanks to all supporters and reminded the public that cookie season continues for many other scouts, encouraging involvement through Girlscouts.org.

This record-breaking feat not only highlights Pim's entrepreneurial spirit but also underscores the transformative impact of social media in modern fundraising. As cookie season progresses, her story serves as an inspiration for young girls across the nation, demonstrating that with creativity and community backing, extraordinary goals are within reach.
