A furious airline passenger has recounted being tricked into giving up her aisle seat by a woman who pretended to have an injured arm, only to remove her sling once seated. The incident occurred on a Delta flight, as detailed in a Reddit post.
The passenger, who had chosen the aisle seat, was approached by a woman wearing a sling who claimed to have the middle seat and requested a swap, citing her 'hurt arm' needing more space. Reluctantly, the passenger agreed.
After takeoff, the woman removed her sling, smiled, and began moving her arm freely. The passenger then realised the man in the window seat was the woman's companion, and they spent the flight talking and passing items across her.
Reddit users expressed disbelief, with many suggesting the passenger should have involved a flight attendant or insisted on swapping back. One user advised: 'That’s when you get a flight attendant and show them your ticket and say “They’re in my seat.”'
