Features of the Shark UltraCyclone Pro
The Shark UltraCyclone Pro uses two powerful air streams designed to provide strong suction while helping extend the life of the filter and motor. An XL dust cup allows for longer cleaning sessions before emptying, and the CleanTouch Dirt Eject system releases collected mess without needing to touch it.
The vacuum comes with a crevice tool for narrow spaces and a scrubbing brush for carpets and car floor mats, making it suitable for both home and car cleaning. The teal handheld vacuum measures 52cm long, weighs 1.3kg, and comes with a two-year Shark guarantee, but only if registered with the manufacturer.
Shopper reviews on pet hair and stairs
Shoppers have praised the vacuum for its effectiveness on pet hair and stairs. One SharkNinja customer wrote: "I bought this looking for something to clean the stairs with more ease. It really delivered. Lightweight, easy to handle, picks up dog hair and random little doodahs. The battery lasts enough for me to do two flights of stairs in one go."
Another added: "I bought this a month ago because I got used to using my mum's whilst at her house. It’s so easy to grab and use, I just couldn’t go back to getting the main vacuum out every time I needed it! I would 100% recommend it." A third said: "Bought this solely for removing pet hair from furniture, and it does the trick, plenty of run time too."
Some reviewers noted minor drawbacks. One said: "Great product and battery lasts a good amount of time, easy to empty. The only downside is that it comes with two attachments, and there isn’t any way of clipping on/storing the one not in use. Not really a problem as such, but worth mentioning." Another commented: "Bought this as a car vac. I was impressed by the suction (much better than the vac I was replacing). The run time was enough to vacuum the car. The reason for 4 as opposed to 5 stars is that it is a little difficult to get into the more awkward areas. Having a hose attachment would resolve this; however, I also appreciate that this may not be possible. Having said that, I am happy with my purchase."
Shark rivals Gtech and Vax
Alternative options include the Gtech Multi Platinum Cordless Handheld Vacuum, priced at £140.99 (down from £260.99) at Lakeland. It offers a 30-minute run time and comes with four attachments: crevice, brush, brush bar hair removal and extension tube tools. It also includes replaceable scented cartridges to keep homes smelling fresh and remove pet odours.
Another option is the Vax Handvac Pro Cordless Handheld Vacuum in ice blue or navy, costing £129.99 at full price. It offers up to 20 minutes of runtime with fast charging in under two hours, and has a slim and lightweight design.
