EasyJet launches Liverpool to Naples flights from £40.99
EasyJet's new Liverpool-Naples route from £40.99

Budget airline EasyJet has announced a major expansion of its UK network with a brand new flight route connecting Liverpool to the Italian culinary capital of Naples. This move provides a direct and affordable gateway for travellers in the North West to one of Europe's most vibrant destinations.

A Slice of the Action: Flying to the Home of Pizza

Starting from 3 August 2025, the carrier will operate flights twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Fares for the journey begin at an enticing £40.99 one-way, making a city break or longer holiday highly accessible. This new service increases easyJet's offering from Liverpool to a total of 41 routes across 17 countries in Europe and North Africa.

Naples is globally celebrated as the birthplace of the modern pizza, a dish with humble beginnings as 1600s street food that has conquered the world. The city's pizza-making tradition is so revered it is recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. A 2019 YouGov poll of 25,000 people in 24 nations confirmed Italian cuisine as the world's favourite, with Naples at its heart.

Beyond the Pizza: Exploring History and Sunshine

While the promise of authentic pizza from legendary spots like L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele (founded 1870) or Sorbillo is a huge draw, Naples offers far more. The city serves as a perfect base for exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii, just a 20-minute train ride away. Preserved under ash from the AD 79 eruption of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii offers an unparalleled snapshot of ancient Roman life.

The climate is another significant attraction. Even in winter, Naples enjoys mild temperatures around 15°C with frequent clear skies, making it an ideal winter sun destination. Summer sees the mercury climb into the mid-30s.

Commitment to Growth and Connectivity

To support this and other new routes, EasyJet will base an additional aircraft at Liverpool next summer, growing its local fleet to nine. Kevin Doyle, easyJet's UK country manager, stated: "In our 30th year, we're still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable... With this latest new route from Liverpool to the vibrant city of Naples... we're continuing to provide our customers in the Northwest with even more choice."

Robin Tudor, head of PR at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, highlighted the appeal: "Travellers... can now choose to fly from Liverpool to Naples, where they can explore Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius or the Amalfi Coast. There is so much to see and do... we expect this new route to be very popular."

This Naples route is part of a significant expansion from Liverpool, which has seen ten new easyJet routes launched in the past year, including services to Malta, Prague, and Marrakesh. Nationwide, EasyJet now operates from 22 UK airports, offering over 630 routes to 140 destinations.
