EasyJet's Incredible £450 Five-Star Tunisia Holiday Package
Six British holidaymakers have revealed they secured a remarkable week-long stay at a five-star all-inclusive Tunisian resort for just £450 per person, including flights and transfers through easyJet. While the deal represents extraordinary value, the travellers identified one significant issue prospective guests should consider before booking.
The Iberostar Selection Kuriat Palace Experience
Terry Langley documented the winter getaway on his YouTube channel, Travelly Man, after arriving at the Iberostar Selection Kuriat Palace in Monastir. The group stayed for seven nights at the seafront resort, which opened in 2019 and appeared modern and well maintained.
"We have just arrived here at the Iberostar Selection Kuriat Palace in Monastir, Tunisia, which is going to be our base for this easyJet all-inclusive holiday," Langley announced at the trip's commencement.
He noted the hotel's contemporary design and excellent condition, though mentioned minor cosmetic wear in some areas and a small maintenance issue that was promptly resolved. External areas could benefit from fresh paint, but staff appeared to be preparing for the upcoming peak season.
Exceptional Service and Impressive Facilities
Langley particularly praised the hotel's service quality, describing staff as "truly excellent" across all departments including reception, housekeeping, bar, restaurant, and entertainment teams. He suggested this hospitality might be characteristic of either the Iberostar brand, North Africa generally, or a combination of both.
"Now I don't know if it's an Iberostar thing, a North African thing or a combination of the two but, for the second consecutive year, the service has been incredible," Langley remarked, referencing previous positive experiences in Morocco.
The common areas received particular commendation for their maintenance and grandeur, especially the reception area which created a strong first impression.
The Crucial Caveat: Food Repetition and Buffet Congestion
Despite overwhelmingly positive feedback, Langley highlighted one important consideration for potential guests. "The food — despite it being of a really good quality — can be a little bit repetitive and it can also get a little bit congested at the buffet when it's busy, as it is only a small space," he explained.
Given their visit occurred during winter, Langley warned this issue could become more pronounced during summer months when the hotel operates at full capacity. The buffet area's limited space might lead to crowding during peak dining times.
Location Considerations and Overall Value Assessment
The resort's location presented another consideration for travellers. "It isn't the best. You can't really walk out of the front of the hotel and go to any shops or just take a stroll if you want to," Langley noted.
Guests would need to take taxis to reach Monastir (less than 10 minutes away) or Sousse (approximately 20 minutes distant), though he assured these journeys would be inexpensive.
The most striking aspect remained the price. The group booked three rooms for six people at a total cost of £2,700 for the week-long all-inclusive package including flights and transfers.
"That works out at £450 per person, or £64.28 per night, for a five-star all-inclusive package," Langley calculated. "I don't know what you think, but I think that is absolutely insane value."
He concluded that the deal represented such exceptional value that there was no need to create one of the popular "I tried to profit from an all-inclusive" YouTube videos, as the savings were already substantial and undeniable.
