Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Express Dining for Swift Multi-Course Meals
Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a new Express Dining option, designed to deliver a complete multi-course dinner experience in under an hour. This innovative service aims to provide passengers with greater flexibility during their voyages, allowing them to enjoy high-quality meals without lengthy waits.
Faster Dining Experience Across the Fleet
Currently available on 15 ships, including the Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Panorama, Express Dining will be rolled out to all Carnival Cruise Line vessels by the end of May. The service is offered nightly in the main dining room for groups of six or fewer, enabling guests to finish their meals in approximately 60 minutes—a significant reduction from the traditional two-hour dining timeframe.
"Our guests continue to tell us they value greater flexibility in how they spend their time on board, and Express Dining was designed with that in mind," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. "The pilot program generated positive feedback, and we are excited to expand it fleet-wide, offering the same high-quality dishes and attentive service while giving guests more time to enjoy onboard activities."
Menu and Accessibility Details
Despite the quicker service, Express Dining maintains a thoughtfully curated menu that mirrors the main dining room offerings, albeit with a slightly abbreviated selection. Guests booked under the flexible Your Time Dining option can select Express Dining via the Carnival HUB App at no additional cost, making it an accessible choice for families and friends seeking a rapid meal before shows or bedtime routines.
Broader Dining Enhancements in 2026
This initiative follows the successful launch of Family Express service on the Lido Deck, a quick-service lunch buffet available fleet-wide since its debut on Carnival Vista. Family Express reduces wait times with fast food options like chicken tenders and mac and cheese, catering specifically to families with children.
Additionally, Carnival Cruise Line is enhancing its dining portfolio with other offerings. Starting May 4, guest favorites such as Fahrenheit 555 and Bonsai Sushi Express will be available on Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, sailing from Sydney and Brisbane, respectively. Fahrenheit 555 is renowned for premium beef cuts and seafood, while Bonsai Sushi Express offers affordable, made-to-order sushi and poke bowls.
These moves underscore Carnival's commitment to improving passenger experiences through diversified and efficient dining solutions, responding to guest demands for flexibility and quality in onboard services.
