Siblings Orphaned After Parents Die Weeks Apart in Tragic Circumstances

Two siblings from Portsmouth are facing homelessness after their mother and sister were killed in a car crash, followed by their father's death weeks later. Mason, 20, and Bailey, 18, have been left with no home after their father Ted Papworth's property was taken by authorities because no will was in place.

Their mother, Michelle Devine, 43, and seven-year-old sister Theia died in a single-vehicle crash on the A3 near Haslemere, Surrey, in February. Ted, who lived in Spain, was described as 'absolutely broken' by the tragedy and died in his sleep in March after his lungs filled with fluid.

The siblings' aunt, Olivia Knight, said the family is devastated by the multiple losses. 'They are not in a good place,' she told the Daily Mail, adding that the grandparents have lost two daughters in recent months. Michelle's sister had died of a heart attack just four months before the crash.

A GoFundMe appeal has been launched to help Mason and Bailey rent a home and cover funeral expenses. More than £8,000 has been raised so far. Ms Knight described Ted as 'the most devoted dad' and Michelle as having 'a heart of gold'.
