The Hoover 200W Cordless Stick Vacuum, praised by users for its “incredible” suction power on stubborn dog and cat hair, is available at Yimbly for £116.10 after a discount code, making it £383.89 cheaper than a comparable Dyson model.
The vacuum, which comes with a Mini Turbo Pet tool designed to lift pet hair and muck from hard floors and soft furnishings, was already discounted by £56. Shoppers can apply the code Autumn10 at checkout to reduce the price further from its £185 pre-sale price, an overall saving of £68.90.
Pet Owners Praise Suction and Design
One Hoover user said: “This has an incredible 200W of suction power that effortlessly lifts stubborn dog and cat hair out of carpets and off hard floors.” The vacuum is described as gliding smoothly across surfaces, with anti-tangle technology that helps prevent hair from wrapping around the brush roller.
The handheld model features LED lights on the floorhead to illuminate hidden dust and dirt, and dual-sided traps on the head capture dust along both edges, which is useful for skirting boards and corners. Another user added: “The three speed modes make it easy to switch from quick fur cleanups to deep carpet cleaning, while the LED headlight makes it incredibly easy to spot hidden pet hair bunnies hiding under furniture.”
Comparison With Dyson and Shark Rivals
The Hoover is positioned against higher-priced rivals such as Dyson and Shark. The Dyson V15 Detect, which offers 60 minutes of runtime, high suction power, and a Digital Motorbar that removes pet hair, typically costs £699.99 but is currently reduced by £200 to £499.99. This makes the Hoover model at Yimbly £383.89 cheaper.
However, the Hoover lacks some features found on the Dyson, such as a dust-detect sensor and the ability to spiral hair into a bin. It also does not have an auto-adjust for power, meaning users must manually adjust settings when moving between hard floors and carpet. The Shark PowerPro Pet vacuum, a £299 model currently on sale for £199, includes a self-cleaning brush roll for pet hair.
User Reviews Highlight Ease of Use
Other reviews on Yimbly have praised the Hoover for its practicality. One user said: “Great Hoover Vacuum Cleaner, Good Power. Easy to use and very easy to empty. And great being cordless.” Another added: “Really excellent, easy to use and lightweight for carrying. I love it. Had no idea there was so much dog and cat fluff in the carpets.”
