Brit dies from allergic reaction on holiday in Argentina

A young British man has tragically died while on holiday in Argentina after suffering a severe and sudden allergic reaction.

A Week-Long Fight for Life

Harry James Kitto, a 24-year-old from Cornwall, passed away on November 7th following a week-long battle for his life in a Buenos Aires hospital. His family confirmed that he died quietly with them by his side.

The devastating news was shared on an online fundraiser, initially set up to cover mounting medical bills. The purpose of the fund has now shifted to support the costs of repatriating Harry's body from Argentina back to his home in Cornwall.

Family's Heartbreaking Tribute

In an emotional statement on the fundraising page, which has seen an outpouring of support raising over £54,000, his family paid tribute to their 'beautiful, brilliant boy'.

They revealed that Harry was travelling with his girlfriend, Naomi, whom they described as immensely strong, courageous, and brave, when he suffered the 'catastrophic allergic reaction'.

'For over a week, he showed extraordinary strength and determination — the same strength that made everyone who knew him so proud,' the family wrote.

The Medical Outcome

Despite the relentless efforts of the medical team and Harry's own incredible fight, the situation was dire. Doctors eventually confirmed that Harry was brain dead and that there was nothing more they could do to save him.

The community's generous donations will now ensure Harry can be brought home to Cornwall, offering some small comfort to his grieving loved ones.
