Edinburgh’s winter wonderland features a big wheel, funfair rides, Santa’s grotto and an ice rink, with beautifully decorated chalet stalls. York’s market emphasises sustainability, with over 80 per cent of traders from Yorkshire offering artisan products. Belfast Christmas market, back for its 21st year, includes international traders, a helter-skelter and goblets of glühwein.
Blenheim Palace sparkles with festive gift stalls, an illuminated trail inspired by The Wizard of Oz, and an ice skating rink. Exeter’s market beneath the Gothic cathedral has over a hundred chalets, global street food and themed bars, with the cathedral offering carol concerts at select dates.
