Asiara UK Travel Company Collapses, Cancelling All Asian Holidays
Asiara UK Travel Firm Collapses, Holidays Cancelled

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the collapse of Asiara UK Ltd, a UK-based travel company that sold holidays to Asia, with all tours and flights now cancelled. The company ceased trading as an ATOL holder on January 21, 2026, following its dissolution earlier in the month.

Details of the Asiara UK Collapse

Asiara UK Ltd, based in Ipswich, operated under the names Asiara Holidays and the website www.asiara-holidays.com. It specialised in tailor-made and small-group tours to popular destinations including Thailand, China, India, Japan, and Singapore. The ATOL scheme guarantees customers will receive refunds in the event of such a company failure, providing a safety net for affected travellers.

Company Background and Operations

The company originated as Haivenu Tours, with offices in Vietnam, before expanding into the UK market in 2022 with the launch of Asiara Holidays. It operated under a franchise arrangement with Protected Trust Services (PTS). Consumers who require assistance with their bookings are advised to contact PTS directly for support and guidance on refunds.

Recent Travel Industry Failures

Asiara is not an isolated case in the travel sector, as several other companies have faced similar collapses in recent months. For instance, the Ickenham Travel Group, which had been operating for 55 years, ceased trading as an ATOL holder on November 20 of last year. Based in London, it traded under names such as Abu Dhabi Holidays, Ras Al Khaimah Holidays, and Letsgo2.

Another Notable Collapse: Regen Central Ltd

Similarly, Regen Central Ltd, a company that sold flights and hotel packages, ceased trading in January 2026. Founded in 2009 in Hertfordshire and specialising in package holidays, it operated in Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East. After 17 years of operation, it went bust, with no refunds set to be issued to customers.

On the CAA's ATOL failures page, it was noted that Regen Central Ltd ceased trading as an ATOL holder on January 13, 2026. The London-based company also traded under the names One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels, running operations through websites including regentravels.com, oneworld-travels.com, and onehajjumrah.com.

These incidents highlight ongoing challenges within the travel industry, underscoring the importance of the ATOL protection scheme for consumers booking holidays. Travellers affected by such collapses are urged to stay informed and seek assistance through official channels to secure their refunds.
