An American man has described being a car passenger on UK roads as the 'scariest thing', citing the country's roundabouts as particularly daunting. AJ Slambino, a 43-year-old wrestler with over 300,000 TikTok followers, shared his experiences in a video that garnered more than 15,000 likes.
In the clip, AJ responded to a comment about driving on the left side of the road, saying: 'Being a passenger in the UK is the scariest thing. The worst thing that scares me the most over there – and let me preface this by saying, we have roundabouts here where I live, we have roundabouts everywhere – but your roundabouts are way scarier.'
He explained that UK roundabouts are 'super tricky' because drivers use indicators to exit, which Americans do not. He also described them as 'way more intricate' than their US counterparts. AJ admitted he is so frightened of driving in the UK that he might never attempt it himself.
Britons on TikTok found the clip amusing, with many teasing him in the comments. One user joked: 'You might drive on the right side, but we in the UK drive on the correct side.' Another suggested he visit the legendary magic roundabout in Swindon, while a third wrote: 'You don't drive on the right side of the road, you drive on the WRONG side of the road.'
