Three American tourists visiting Bath have caused a stir online after sharing their candid reactions to a full English breakfast. The group, consisting of Amber Kacherian, Blake, and Jared, documented their first taste of the classic British meal on Instagram, where Amber has 424,000 followers.
Blake's encounter with black pudding was particularly memorable; he winced after the first bite, removed it from his mouth, and exclaimed, 'What the hell?' He then placed the remaining pudding on a napkin and declared, 'We will not be having any of that.'
The trio also sampled Marmite, which Blake described as tasting like 'sadness' after spreading a thick layer on toast. Jared, after trying it, remarked, 'This smells like burnt yeast' and 'Oh that's strong.'
However, not all components were met with disdain. Amber praised the beans on toast as a 'clear winner,' and the bacon, though initially mistaken for ham, proved hugely popular. Amber also noted that the British yoghurt resembled sour cream but was still enjoyable.
The video has sparked debate among viewers, with many pointing out that accompaniments like honey, peanut butter, jam, and Marmite are typically meant for toast, not pancakes, as Amber had assumed.
