Wrexham's Plassey Holiday Park and Pembrokeshire's Folly Farm Holiday Park have been named in Campsites.co.uk's Outstanding Sites List for 2026. The annual list celebrates the best camping, glamping and touring sites across the UK, highlighting destinations with consistently great guest reviews and award-winning facilities.
Plassey Holiday Park
Set across 247 acres of farmland overlooking the Dee Valley, Plassey Holiday Park offers five-star leisure facilities and a wide range of accommodation. The park features a castle-themed adventure playground with a zip wire, resident farm animals with petting sessions, a golf course, and a retail village with over 20 independent shops. Families can enjoy an indoor swimming pool, while a dedicated adults-only swim session is also available. Fishing enthusiasts have access to five well-stocked fishing ponds. Dining options include a coffee shop and the Old Barn Bar and Restaurant.
The park has earned a 4.84-star guest rating, with 98% of visitors saying they would recommend it based on more than 60 reviews. One guest wrote, "Plassey comes top of the list for us. Enjoyed everything at the park," while another described it as "A very welcoming site with every facility you could ask for." Plassey was crowned Overall Winner of Best Family Campsite in the 2025 Camping and Glamping Awards.
Folly Farm Holiday Park
Located next to the popular Folly Farm attraction in Pembrokeshire, Folly Farm Holiday Park offers rare breeds, an indoor vintage fairground and adventure play areas. Modern bathroom facilities, a launderette, hair dryers, WiFi, and small licensed shops make stays convenient. Visiting food trucks operate during school holidays, serving chocolate crepes, pizzas and BBQs. Campers can purchase a special entry fee for unlimited access to the zoo, which is home to lions, rhinos, monkeys and other animals.
