Uber Eats and Wagamama Swap Mopeds for Japanese Street Car in Drift Deliveries Stunt
Uber Eats and Wagamama Swap Mopeds for Drift Deliveries

Uber Eats and wagamama have teamed up for a special delivery service, replacing the typical moped with a Japanese street car inspired by Tokyo's underground racing scene. British drift champion Ollie Evans will handle the wheel, making surprise drop-offs across London from July 21 to July 23.

Stunt Celebrates Wagamama's Uber Eats Launch

The stunt marks wagamama's debut on Uber Eats, offering dishes like chicken katsu curry, gyoza, and bang bang cauliflower for delivery. Customers across the UK also have a chance to win: anyone ordering wagamama through Uber Eats between July 21 and 23 will be entered into a ballot for a year's supply of food.

Drift Challenge for Finalists

Finalists will be invited to participate in a food-inspired drift challenge, riding in the passenger seat alongside Ollie Evans at a UK racetrack. Merve Basci, general manager at Uber Eats UK, said: "We wanted to celebrate in a way that's as bold and energetic as the food itself. Drift Deliveries turns an everyday order into something completely unexpected."
