Tiger Woods Unveils First Look at Legacy Course in Cabo

Tiger Woods has provided a rare update on his latest golf course design, sharing first-look pictures of the Legacy Course at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. The course is now in the grassing-in stage and is set to become the largest golf development in Cabo, spanning 1,500 acres.

The Legacy Course will feature custom residences, villas, and condominium houses, designed as an 'oasis in the desert.' According to Ken Jowdy, CEO and founder of Diamante Cabo San Lucas and Legacy Properties LLC, the project aims to deliver an exclusive, personalized golf experience. 'By bringing together an exclusive Tiger Woods–designed course and a truly limited membership, we are creating the most intimate, personalized golf experience at the highest level in Cabo,' Jowdy said.

Membership Fees and Course Details

Initial Legacy Club membership fees are set at $300,000 (approximately £223,000), with annual dues expected to be around $60,000 (about £44,000), according to Forbes. The course is designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels while providing a memorable experience.

Woods shared his excitement on Instagram, writing: 'I'm pleased to share a first early look at Legacy Course, our newest course design at Diamante. Cabo is a special place and working alongside Ken Jowdy and the Diamante team over the years has been especially rewarding. Legacy Course was designed to challenge golfers of every skill level while creating an experience they’ll remember long after the round. From the routing to the strategy and the natural landscape, every detail was carefully considered. I’m proud of what we’ve created together and can’t wait for golfers to experience it in the near future.'

Woods' Recent Off-Course Challenges

Woods' last competitive outing was in the TGL Finals earlier this year, where he played for Jupiter Links against Los Angeles Golf Club at the SoFi Center simulator. That appearance preceded his arrest for a DUI in March, when he crashed his vehicle near his home in Florida and was charged with driving under the influence. As a result, he missed both the Masters and the Aronimink Golf Club event.

A judge granted him permission to leave the United States to attend a rehabilitation programme in Zurich, Switzerland. He left the programme early to attend Kai Trump's high school graduation. The 50-year-old continues to focus on his health and off-course responsibilities after pleading not guilty to charges stemming from the crash.

Legacy Course Expected to Open in Early 2027

The Legacy Course is expected to open in early 2027. Woods described the course as offering 'tournament-calibre strategy with an unforgettable visual experience.' The development is set to become the most extensive layout among Mexico's roughly 250 golf courses.
