The Nintendo Switch 2, released in June 2025, has dropped to its lowest price ever at Argos. The retailer is selling the console for £380, down from the usual £395.99, and has labelled it a 'special offer' and the 'lowest price ever' at Argos.
This price cut comes ahead of a confirmed price increase from Nintendo. From September 1, 2026, the Switch 2 will rise by $50 in the US and €30 in Europe, attributed to 'changes in market conditions'—likely due to increased costs of RAM and storage components driven by AI data centres.
UK shoppers have a limited window to secure the console at its lowest price. While Argos offers £380, Amazon currently lists the same black Switch 2 with blue and red Joy-Con controllers for £369.95. The Switch 2 features a larger display, bigger Joy-Cons with magnetic attachment, and GameChat capabilities.
The console retains the hybrid functionality of its predecessor, allowing handheld and docked TV play. Its success is bolstered by exclusive titles like Mario Kart World, which introduces open-world elements. However, the Switch 2 is heavier than the original, which may affect ergonomics for some users.
