Shark has launched the CryoGlow Plus, an updated version of its popular LED mask, priced at £339.99 in Pastel Berry or Pastel Dusk. The original CryoGlow, which debuted in 2024, retailed at £299.99.
What's New with the CryoGlow Plus?
Shark says the new mask offers 120% more LED coverage around the crow's feet area to better target fine lines. It also features new LED placement around the mouth, another area where wrinkles commonly appear. The battery performance has been improved for longer use between charges.
The under-eye cooling technology remains, with three adjustable cooling levels. The mask includes four dermatologist-inspired treatment modes: Better Ageing, Blemish Repair, Skin Sustain, and Under-Eye Revive.
Zoe's Thoughts on the Upgrade
Zoe Cripps, who has used the original CryoGlow consistently since it launched, notes that the Plus looks and feels very similar to its predecessor. The biggest difference is the LED positioning, particularly the increased coverage around the crow's feet and mouth. She was pleased to see the cooling technology unchanged, calling it one of her favourite features, especially for reducing puffiness after a poor night's sleep.
Treatment times remain manageable: Better Ageing takes six minutes, Blemish Repair eight minutes, and Skin Sustain is a four-minute maintenance treatment. Zoe says this is half the reason she stopped using other LED masks with longer treatment times.
Is It Worth Upgrading?
Zoe concludes that if you already own the original CryoGlow, the upgrade is probably not worth it. The cooling technology, treatment modes, and overall experience are largely the same, and the wider LED coverage alone is not enough to justify replacing a perfectly good mask.
However, if you are buying your first LED mask and had the Shark on your list, she recommends going straight for the CryoGlow Plus. For an extra £40, you get improved coverage in key areas and better battery performance. She describes it as an evolution rather than a revolution, but enough to make Shark's best LED mask even better.
