DJI Osmo Pocket 4P: Stabilisation and Quality
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, priced at £529, is a content-altering gadget for vloggers, TikTokers, and mobile news teams. It combines a dual camera and gimbal in a pocketable device. Standout features include the gimbal's stability, upgraded Active Tracking 8.0 for selecting subjects in fast-paced content, and fluid gestures. The device is light and nimble but heavier than the Osmo Pocket 4, and the travel pouch is too small for all accessories.
For filming pieces to camera, the DJI Mini Mic 2 is essential, heightening overall quality. The vlogging bundle starts at £605 at retailers including Currys.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8: Foldable Design and Camera
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is a pocketable, portable, and powerful smartphone, though with a high base price. The 4.1-inch FlexWindow is handy for answering calls and checking notifications. The Horizontal Lock feature, first rolled out on the S range, keeps video footage stable even when moving the phone 180 degrees. The phone is lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro and 8g lighter than the Z Flip7.
The Z Flip7 is now £350 cheaper on an EE contract, from £15.60 a month or £799 outright. Sky Mobile sells the Z Flip8 from £38 a month with a £12 upfront fee, including a free Galaxy Watch9 worth £349. The hinge can be felt and seen in some lights.
Google Pixel 11: AI Camera and Performance
The Google Pixel 11 series features the boosted Tensor G6 Chip and Instant Night Sight, which uses AI to remove blur, brighten dark images, and capture crisp detail without a flash. The 48MP main sensor, video stabilisation, and zoom upgrade are notable. The standard Pixel 11 misses out on 120x Super Res Zoom and has slower charging than competitors.
