Chloe Radford, star of 22 Kids and Counting, has rushed her newborn son Bodhi to hospital amid fears he was "in pain." The young mother has been left emotional and overwhelmed since the baby's arrival, and fans have flooded her with support online.
Newborn's constant crying sparks hospital visit
In the next episode of the Channel 5 reality show, set to air on Sunday, October 11, Chloe and her partner Jacob Wallace struggle to adapt to caring for their newest addition. The couple find themselves pushed to breaking point as Bodhi wails constantly.
After seeking medical advice, the infant is given a clean bill of health, yet Chloe continues to feel frustrated and emotional. In a teaser clip shared on Instagram, Jacob discloses to the camera: "It's an absolute nightmare, crying constantly, waking up all the time, and Chloe's bursting into tears."
Chloe admits possible postnatal depression
Chloe admits: "I may be struggling with postnatal depression," before expressing her concerns about Bodhi: "I think he's in pain." The footage then shows Chloe and Bodhi in a hospital waiting area, where she confesses, "I just feel guilty."
Channel 5 summarised the clip as follows: "Baby Bhodi won't stop crying. Although doctors say he's fine, Chloe is convinced something is wrong. Exhausted but refusing to give up, will she get to the bottom of the problem?"
Fans rally with support online
Supporters were quick to fill the comments section with messages of support for Jacob and Chloe. One person posted: "Oh bless you xx Bhodi hope he's okay." Another commented: "I feel this so much, had colic baby, and the newborn stage just gets ripped from you x," while a third added: "My first was like that, but 40yrs ago I had zero help, zero ppl to ask, and dr just looked at you like (confused emoji)."
Chloe and Jacob welcomed Bodhi in April 2025, with Chloe sharing the happy news with followers on Instagram. The Radford clan returned to Channel 5 last month with a new series of 22 Kids and Counting, giving viewers another glimpse into the lives of 'Britain's biggest family' over the previous year. The brood first appeared on our screens in the 2012 Channel 4 show '15 Kids and Counting'.
22 Kids and Counting airs Sunday at 8:00 PM on Channel 5.
