Reolink doorbell and MagiCam ease holiday home security worries
Reolink devices ease holiday home security worries

Nearly half of Brits (46%) worry about home security while away on holiday, according to recent statistics from Reolink, but the company's Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) and Argus MagiCam aim to ease those concerns with long battery life and no mandatory subscription fees.

Confidence Drops With Longer Trips

Reolink's data shows that confidence in leaving a property unattended falls the longer the trip, dropping from 70% for a weekend break to 58% for a week-long holiday, 44% for a two-week trip, and 33% for holidays lasting three weeks or more.

The front door is a key focus, as more than a quarter (26%) of people worry about parcels being delivered while away. Reolink's data highlights that 39% of people have redirected a delivery because their home was empty, and 31% have delayed a delivery altogether.

Doorbell and Camera Features

The Reolink Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) offers a 2K 4MP head-to-toe view and package detection, with a battery life of up to 300 days on a single charge. It captures dual-band Wi-Fi footage and requires no mandatory monthly subscription for local storage.

The Argus MagiCam is a palm-sized camera with a magnetic mounting system that requires no tools. It has an IP67 weatherproof housing, making it suitable for outdoor use, and runs for nine months on AA lithium batteries. More than a third of Londoners (36%) use security cameras to check on pets while away.

Subscription-Free Ecosystem

Together, these devices offer a subscription-free ecosystem designed to provide peace of mind for homeowners during holidays of any length.
