Motorola has announced the release of its new Edge 70 Max, featuring a 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W TurboPower charging—two upgrades that Samsung currently cannot match. The device has earned a Gold Label from DXOMARK for outstanding battery life and charging performance.
Battery and Charging Leadership
The Edge 70 Max's 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery offers higher energy density without increased size or weight, a technology Samsung has yet to adopt, sticking instead with traditional lithium-ion. Motorola's 90W TurboPower charging provides a full day's power after just 6 minutes of charging, surpassing Samsung's 60W maximum.
Display and Performance
The phone features a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. A vapour chamber cooling system prevents overheating under heavy use. The device also includes an AI-powered camera system with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a macro lens.
Build and Additional Features
The Edge 70 Max boasts an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and water resistance. Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK&I at Motorola, said: "Great technology should look beautiful, perform brilliantly and fit effortlessly into everyday life. With immersive visuals, powerful performance, all-day battery life and the responsiveness gamers demand, the edge 70 max delivers a premium entertainment experience without compromise."
Pricing and Availability
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt, priced at £699.99.
