Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, with the market now open. Michael Carrick's side secured a third-place Premier League finish and Champions League football for next season, prompting a need for squad reinforcements. Following Casemiro's departure, at least one midfield replacement is required, and Ederson is expected to be the first signing.
Yan Diomande Transfer Hijack Urged
Former United striker Louis Saha has called on the club to enter the race for RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, who has impressed at the 2026 World Cup. The 19-year-old is reportedly valued at over £100m, with RB Leipzig demanding a fee exceeding that amount. Liverpool are believed to be leading the chase, with a reported £86m bid prepared.
Saha told Casinolyze.co.uk: "Man Utd should hijack Liverpool's interest in Yan Diomande, definitely. This type of winger now dominates football. When you have that confidence and simplicity in your game, to dribble, pass, be physical, and be courageous, I love that." He added: "I think he can be a superstar like Lamine Yamal."
Marcus Rashford Future Uncertainty
Marcus Rashford, who scored for England in their World Cup opener against Croatia, is at the centre of transfer speculation. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Barcelona, but the £26m purchase option in the deal was not triggered. A return to Catalonia on another temporary deal has been suggested, but German outlet Bild reports that Bayern Munich have made contact with Rashford's representatives after failing to sign Anthony Gordon, who moved to Barcelona. However, salary demands are believed to make any potential deal unlikely.
