Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry about Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, while the club has also banked a sizeable fee from the sale of Ethan Williams to Peterborough.

United are among numerous clubs to have enquired about the 18-year-old, who is considered one of Europe's most exciting young prospects. PSG, the European champions, need to free up space in their ranks following a busy summer of incomings.
World Cup winner Ferran Torres is reportedly set to join PSG, which would further limit Mbaye's first-team opportunities. According to AS, that development has put several major clubs on alert.

Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Porto, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Roma and Aston Villa have all been credited with interest in Mbaye, whom PSG are willing to sell for £42million.
Meanwhile, United have sold 20-year-old winger Ethan Williams to Peterborough for a "sizeable disclosed fee," according to the League One club. Williams had been included on the pre-season tour of Scandinavia but never made a senior start for United.

Speaking upon joining Peterborough, Williams said: "I have enjoyed my time at United and it's always tough to leave a place like that. But there comes a time in your career where you have to make tough decisions to develop yourself and Peterborough is renowned for helping younger players."
Peterborough reportedly paid in the region of £750,000. Their manager, Luke Williams, said: "Ethan is a player that will give us another option in the wide areas. He is quick, direct and will be a threat and I am looking forward to working with him."
