Liverpool's chances of signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola have been boosted as PSG close in on the signing of Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds are seeking a versatile winger following Mohamed Salah's departure. Barcola, 23, is thought to be the club's primary target after impressing in Ligue 1 and the Champions League with PSG, as well as at the World Cup with France.
PSG nearing Akliouche deal
Romano reports that PSG are in the final stages of talks with Monaco over Akliouche, with final details being confirmed and a transfer expected imminently. The 24-year-old had a stellar 2025/26 season with Monaco, scoring six goals and providing six assists in Ligue 1, earning a call-up to Didier Deschamps' France World Cup squad.
Should PSG complete the deal, it would fuel speculation about Barcola's place in Luis Enrique's squad. Enrique recently stated he wants only players fully committed to PSG, and Barcola is reportedly open to a move.
Valuation hurdle
However, PSG are said to demand around £145 million for Barcola, which would be a Premier League record fee. The CIES Football Observatory values the winger at about £85 million.
Liverpool have alternatives if the deal proves too costly. Bournemouth's Rayan has been linked, but he only joined in January and his release clause activates next year. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested. Other targets include Brighton's Yankuba Minteh and FC Koln's Said El Mala. Victor Munoz arrived earlier this summer for £34.5 million.
