Jens Hjerto-Dahl 'Tempted' by Rangers Move, Eyes Old Firm Derby

Jens Hjerto-Dahl has confessed that the prospect of playing for Rangers is 'tempting,' revealing he has already watched footage of the Old Firm derby. The 20-year-old Norwegian attacking midfielder, currently with Tromso, has attracted significant interest after impressive performances in the Eliteserien. According to Scandinavian reports, Rangers had a £5.3 million bid rejected, with Tromso holding out for their £7.5 million valuation.

Hjerto-Dahl's Old Firm Admission

Speaking about the potential move, Hjerto-Dahl said: "I haven't thought much about it. It's been a week since the offer came and it was rejected. I accept that. I've moved on from it and am looking forward to the match against Valerenga." However, he added: "But of course it's tempting to think about playing in an Old Firm match. It's a big and very well-known local derby. I've watched clips from there and it looks like it's a great match with great atmospheres in the stadiums."

Rangers vs Besiktas: Preference Clear

Hjerto-Dahl is also being tracked by Turkish giants Besiktas, but when asked if Glasgow holds more appeal than Istanbul, he responded: "Yes, it is. I can honestly say that." The Norway U21 international acknowledged that while the bid's rejection has put the move on hold, he remains focused on his current commitments with Tromso.

Transfer Saga Continues

Rangers' initial offer of £5.3 million fell short of Tromso's asking price, but the player's comments suggest a strong interest in joining the Scottish Premiership side. The Ibrox club may need to increase their bid to secure the midfielder, who has already shown awareness of the intensity of the Old Firm rivalry.
