Apple is reportedly planning a range of changes to iOS, the operating system that powers the iPhone, according to a new report from Bloomberg. The update, expected to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, will introduce new artificial intelligence tools and options to customise the camera, among other improvements.
New AI Features and Siri Overhaul
The upcoming iOS 27 is expected to focus heavily on AI tools. Apple has used recent WWDC events to promote its AI capabilities, but many features have been delayed. Notably, an upgraded version of Siri, which will be completely rebuilt to handle back-and-forth chats and draw on personal information, is finally planned for launch in June. The new Siri will also feature a redesigned interface that integrates with the Dynamic Island at the top of the display.
Camera App Customisation
The camera app will receive a major overhaul, allowing users to choose their own settings by adding widgets, as reported by Bloomberg. This change aims to give users more control over their photography experience.

Multiple reports suggest that Apple will also make minor adjustments to the operating system's look, partly in response to criticism of the controversial 'Liquid Glass' redesign introduced in iOS 26. However, these visual tweaks are primarily focused on the Mac, with a view to making it easier to use and see content on larger screens.
