A leaked European retailer listing suggests Grand Theft Auto 6 could cost up to £170, with five editions ranging from €89.99 to €199.99. The figures, reportedly from French retail chain FNAC, indicate a Standard Edition at €89.99 (roughly £76.25) and a Collector's Edition at €199.99 (£169.45). However, prominent industry leaker billbil-kun warned that the prices are “just random ones” used by FNAC and do not match official inventory prefixes from Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two.
Leaked Price Points for GTA 6 Editions
According to Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) on FNAC's site, the game appears in five tiers: RS1 through RS5. The lowest, RS1, is listed at €89.99, translating to approximately £74.99 for UK gamers—still above the typical £69.99 digital game ceiling. The highest, RS5, is €199.99, likely retailing at £159.99 or £169.99. The other tiers are RS2 at €99.99 (£84.99), RS3 at €109.99 (£94.99), and RS4 at €119.99 (£99.99). The contents of each edition remain unconfirmed.
Pre-Orders Open This Week
Rockstar Games confirmed last week that pre-orders for GTA 6 will begin on Thursday, June 25, ahead of its November 19 release date. The game has been delayed twice over the past two years. The leak comes weeks after a false alarm from US retailer Best Buy, which claimed pre-orders would go live in May. Fans are urged to wait for official pricing from Rockstar or Take-Two.
Industry Skepticism
Billbil-kun, a known leaker, stated that the FNAC prices are likely placeholders and not indicative of final costs. The SKU prefixes do not align with Take-Two's standard inventory codes. Despite the uncertainty, the leak has sparked debate among gamers about the rising cost of AAA titles. The official pricing and edition details are expected imminently.
