EE has launched a new incentive called Early Phone Swap, which allows customers on Flex Pay contracts to upgrade to a brand new device without waiting until the end of their current deal. The UK network says the update is available to nearly one million of its users.
How Early Phone Swap works
Eligible customers can choose a new device via EE's online platform, in-store at EE's shops, or through EE's call centre. Once the latest iPhone or Android device has been selected, they simply send back their current phone to complete the swap. As long as the old phone is in good working order, the change can be made free of charge, and users might even get money back if the old phone is worth more than the balance left on their device plan.

Every handset comes with an extended warranty, and EE has confirmed that support is available if anything goes wrong, with repairs available from as little as two hours or fast access to specialist technicians.
Eligibility terms
EE says users are eligible for Early Phone Swap if they bought their old phone from EE on a Device Credit Agreement with a 24-month airtime plan. Customers must have 12 months or less left on their current Device Credit Agreement (but not in the final month) and have made at least 12 device monthly payments. They must return their old phone, upgrade to a new device credit agreement with a 24-month airtime plan, and the old phone must be in full working order, be able to power up, and have any security features such as Find My Phone disabled.
