Cheryl made a surprise return to ITV screens to help will.i.am during The Voice UK battle stages. As the programme commenced, will.i.am told his contestants that, with only three acts progressing to the semi-final, it would be a "tough" choice and he required assistance. Acknowledging he had "the perfect" individual to support him, he revealed: "I've been wanting this person to be my mentor for 13 years. So with no further ado, I want to introduce you to my mentor."

Fans React to Cheryl's Return

Cheryl emerged from a vehicle as the participants erupted with excitement and delivered an enthusiastic round of applause, with the singer expressing it was "so nice" to see them all. In a separate segment, the former Popstars participant told the camera: "I have stood in the shoes the contestants are standing in, I know what it feels like to perform in this environment. You just got to know that you're good, or you wouldn't be here."

Audiences were prompt to remark on Cheryl's presence on the programme, with numerous people turning to X to voice their opinions. Upcoming Series Changes

Her appearance on the ITV programme follows the recent announcement that she'll be joining The Voice as a judge in the forthcoming series alongside Aitch, replacing Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, and Tom Fletcher. It marks Cheryl's first major television role since 2019 when she served as a judge on The Greatest Dancer, reports the Daily Star.

However, that won't be the sole change audiences will witness in the upcoming series, as Emma Willis is also departing, with Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon assuming presenting duties for Series 15.

A description for the new series states: "These new additions will take their places alongside international superstar Kelly Rowland, who makes her highly anticipated return for a second series as a coach. They join long-standing The Voice UK legend will.i.am."
