Casetify phone cases have a game-changing hidden feature I can't live without
Casetify's hidden ring stand feature I can't live without

Casetify phone cases include a ring stand that folds out from around the rear camera cut-out, allowing the phone to be propped up in both portrait and landscape orientations. The feature is now something journalist Danielle Kate Wroe says she cannot imagine living without.

Wroe, a Senior Social News Reporter, describes herself as a phone case hoarder who matches cases to outfits, with options ranging from bookish designs with cats and books to Pompompurin-themed cases. However, she only recently discovered the ring stand feature, and now fears she will not be able to go back.

What is the Casetify ring stand?

The metal ring surrounding the rear camera cut-out unfolds on a sturdy hinge. It allows the phone to be propped up in portrait orientation for FaceTime or video calls, and in landscape orientation for watching videos or scrolling, without needing a separate accessory.

When not in use, the ring snaps flat around the camera housing, maintaining a slim profile. Wroe notes that she was most worried the feature would make the case bulky, but it does not at all. The ring also provides extra protection for the camera, as it is slightly raised in that area.

Why the feature matters

Wroe explains that she often consumes media passively, such as watching shows while cooking or listening to audiobooks in the shower. When her iPad is in a different part of the house, she relies on her iPhone, which has a big enough screen. In the past, she used random items to prop up her phone during FaceTime calls or while watching vodcasts, but many cases have a shiny texture that causes them to fall down.

She now uses the Casetify ring stand on the new Hello Kitty collaboration case, which she describes as adorable, proving that practical phone cases do not have to be boring. All Casetify cases also include military-grade drop protection with shock-absorbing materials along the bumpers.
