A mother of four from Wiltshire has seen her life transformed after winning a staggering £1,000,000 in a prize draw, leaving a friend to utter a stunned four-word response.
An Unbelievable Phone Call
Nikita Muse, a 35-year-old finance manager from Chippenham, was finishing work when she received the life-altering call from Omaze. Initially sceptical, her husband David, 39, advised her to ignore it, suspecting a scam. However, after verifying the details, the reality began to sink in. "It was basically 'knock knock - who's there? A million pounds!'" Nikita recalled, noting that even her neighbours mistook the commotion for a large Amazon delivery.
'Are You F***ing Joking?!'
The win came just as Nikita was about to head out to meet a friend at the pub. She made a last-minute call to cancel, explaining that representatives from Omaze were at her house to inform her she had won a million pounds. Her friend's immediate and incredulous reply was: "Are you f***ing joking?!" Nikita promised the postponed celebration would be worth it, assuring her pal that the drinks would be on her. True to her word, they shared champagne within a week of the win, which she secured with a £15 entry.
Nikita, who had been entering Omaze draws for almost five years, described the surreal moment. "The night I found out, it was absolutely freezing outside, but I wasn't cold at all. All I felt was excitement," she said. The funds are now securely in her bank account. "I'll never forget seeing all those zeros appear," she added.
A Future of Family Memories
The financial windfall has lifted immense pressure from the family. Nikita and David, who recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in style, now have dreams within reach. "We can't wait to go on some amazing holidays; making those kinds of family memories is priceless," Nikita stated. Plans include a return trip to New York—where they got married—and taking their four children to Disneyland Florida.
Beyond the personal joy, the Omaze draw supports charitable causes across the UK. Since its 2020 launch, Omaze has raised over £100 million for its charity partners. James Oakes, President of Omaze, expressed delight for Nikita, highlighting how the platform creates life-changing winners while generating significant funds for good causes.
