Walmart Logo's Hidden Symbol Finally Explained, But Shoppers Remain Unconvinced

Walmart shoppers have been left puzzled after discovering the 'secret' meaning behind the yellow star in the retail giant's logo. The symbol, which appears after the word 'Walmart', has been officially described as a 'spark of inspiration' linked to founder Sam Walton.

According to Walmart, the spark represents the moment of inspiration Sam Walton had when he opened his first store in 1962. The company stated: 'It's a symbol of the spark of inspiration Sam Walton had... It's a symbol of all of the great ideas that have helped to develop our company over the years. And it's a symbol of the inspiration that's inside all of us.'

However, not all shoppers are convinced by this explanation. Social media users have expressed scepticism, with one commenting: 'Bit of a reach in this case, in my opinion. Can kind of see it though.' Another added: 'Just found out that the Walmart logo is a bunch of sparks and not a flower. Need some time to process.' A third user remarked: 'Life was better when Walmart's logo was the smiley face and not that weird little asterisk flower thing.'

The revelation comes as other retailers' logos have also come under scrutiny. 7-Eleven customers recently discovered that the lowercase 'n' in its logo was a deliberate design choice, reportedly made by the wife of former president Joe C. Thompson, who thought a capital 'N' looked 'too harsh'.
