TK Maxx shoppers have discovered 'hidden codes' on price tags that could help identify the best bargains. Entrepreneur and finance expert Mark Tilbury shared a viral Instagram video explaining three key numbers to look for on labels.
What the codes mean
According to Mark, a '1' at the end of the product code suggests the item may have been made specifically for TK Maxx as a lower-cost alternative to what the brand sells elsewhere. A '2' indicates a genuine product sold at full price by other retailers but acquired by TK Maxx at a lower cost. A '7' means the item has been discontinued and is only available at TK Maxx.

Jordon King previously discussed the codes in his own video, noting that items with a '7' are usually last year's stock but still genuine branded products. He advised: "Please do have a check before you buy something. It may seem like a bargain looking at the price, but it may wear out sooner than you think if it’s not the real deal."
