In a UK retail first, supermarket giant Tesco is set to launch an exclusive Red Bull Advent calendar, offering caffeine fans a new way to count down to Christmas.
The calendar, which goes on sale in stores from Wednesday, November 26, will be available for one week only or while stocks last. Shoppers cannot purchase this unique festive item from any other UK retailer this year.
Price and Availability Details
Tesco is offering the 24-day Advent calendar for £20 on Clubcard Prices. For those without a loyalty card, the cost will be £35. A Tesco spokesperson highlighted the significant savings, stating: "With 250ml cans of Red Bull starting at £1.65, shoppers can save at least 50% by purchasing the calendar on Clubcard Prices compared to buying cans individually."
What's Inside the Calendar?
The calendar promises a variety of Red Bull flavours to enjoy in the lead-up to Christmas Day. The assortment includes both classic and limited-edition drinks, designed to be as colourful as a string of festive lights.
The full list of flavours confirmed inside is:
- Red Bull Winter Edition Fuji Apple & Ginger
- Red Bull Energy Drink
- Red Bull Sugar-free
- Red Bull Zero
- Red Bull The Lilac Edition Sugar-free
- Red Bull The Pink Edition Sugar-free
- Red Bull The Coconut Edition
- Red Bull The Blue Edition
Red Bull describes its Winter Edition Fuji Apple & Ginger as combining apples with the "warm spiciness" of ginger. Like other variants, it contains caffeine, which the brand claims helps improve concentration and increase alertness, as well as B-group vitamins to help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Important Health Considerations
While this Advent calendar offers a novel take on the festive tradition, it is important to note that energy drinks are high in caffeine and often sugar. Consumption can lead to side effects such as a faster heartbeat, higher blood pressure, anxiety, and sleep troubles.
Health experts advise limiting intake, particularly for young people, those with underlying health conditions, or anyone sensitive to caffeine. Children, teenagers, and young adults are considered especially at risk from the adverse effects of these beverages. Individuals with heart problems are urged to be particularly cautious.
The Red Bull Advent calendar will be available in limited quantities at selected Tesco stores across the UK from November 26.
