Tesco's new Finest Frozen Meal Deal, priced at £7.50, has launched just in time for Valentine's Day. Available in stores until March 23, the deal offers a choice of main, side, and dessert. But does it deliver value for money?
We tried several items from the range. The Goat's Cheese & Caramelised Onion Pizza impressed with its strong yet balanced flavours. The Korean-style chicken tenders with gochujang sauce packed a spicy kick and were generous in size. However, the Potato Dauphinoise, while creamy and garlicky, was slightly dry.
For dessert, the Apple Crumble and Salted Caramel ice cream proved versatile. Paired with a salted caramel and chocolate hot cross bun, it created a heavenly treat. The Colombian Coffee ice cream, though strong, could be used to make a frappe.
Overall, the meal deal offers good value, especially for a Valentine's Day dinner at home. Recommended combo: Goat's Cheese & Caramelised Onion Pizza, Potato Dauphinoise, and Apple Crumble and Salted Caramel ice cream. In three words: simple, indulgent, and perfect for a night in.
