The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent “do not eat” warning for three Tesco pasta salad products, suspected of being contaminated with Salmonella. The recall affects specific batches of the supermarket's own-brand pasta salads with use-by dates in late July 2025.
The affected items are the 255g Tesco Basil Pesto & Semi Dried Tomato Pasta with a use-by date of July 24 2025, the 285g Tesco Chicken & Chorizo Pasta with use-by dates of July 24 and 25 2025, and the 290g Tesco Feta Semi Dried Tomato Pasta with a use-by date of July 24 2025. Customers who have purchased these products are advised not to eat them and to return them to any Tesco store for a full refund.
According to the FSA, Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps. The agency recommends that anyone experiencing these symptoms should stay away from work, school, or nursery until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours to prevent spreading the infection.
