The team behind Inventery bar and kitchen in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, have confirmed the venue's closure after six years in business. A sign announcing the news was placed in the doorway of the bar and kitchen on Station Road this evening.

Six Years of Service

Inventery opened in 2020 as a cocktail bar before expanding to serve food. Located within a short walk of the train station, it offered quick links into Manchester and surrounding suburbs. In a social media post, the team wrote: "Thank you for all the support we have received from everybody over the last 6 years. And a special thank you to all the community and our regular friends - you know who you are. It's been an absolute blast. Have a great end to the year and a fabulous Christmas. Thank you, everyone from Inventery past and present."

Venue History and Offerings

Inventery was created by Inventive Design Associates, a small design practice in the North West with hospitality design experience. The venue expanded into a small plates kitchen, with dishes including beer battered fried coley with homemade katsu curry, homemade lamb kebabs, and crispy jacket potato skins with melted cheddar, green onions, jalapenos and sour cream. The menu also featured weekend brunch, Wednesday steak nights, and a board and bottle offer with wine and charcuterie. The venue hosted events such as live music, comedy nights, and wine tastings.

In 2024, the venue underwent a refurbishment, introducing a new menu, a Garden Room area, and a hidden garden space where many events were held.
