Royal Mail has unveiled a special commemorative stamp featuring Woodstock, the iconic yellow bird from the Peanuts comic strip, to celebrate the franchise's 75th anniversary. The stamp showcases Woodstock in his signature whimsical style, paying tribute to the beloved characters created by Charles M. Schulz.
The release is part of a broader collection honouring Peanuts, which includes stamps featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Lucy. Royal Mail described the collection as a celebration of the comic's enduring legacy, which has captivated audiences since its debut in 1950.
"Peanuts has been a cultural touchstone for generations, and we're thrilled to mark this milestone with a special stamp issue," said a Royal Mail spokesperson. "Woodstock, though small in stature, has left a big impression on fans worldwide."
The stamps are available for pre-order and will go on general sale later this month. Collectors and Peanuts enthusiasts alike are expected to snap up the limited-edition designs.
