Pringles, one of the UK's biggest crisp brands, has launched a new product: Pringles Minis. After more than four years of development and testing over 50 different versions and sizes, food developers created a sturdier, thicker crisp with one curve designed to survive being rattled in backpacks, tossed into packed lunches, or stashed in glove compartments.
Key Differences from Classic Pringles
Unlike classic Pringles, where most seasoning is on the top, Pringles Minis are seasoned on both sides. They come in three flavours: Original, Sour Cream & Onion, and BBQ. The biggest change is the packaging: Minis are sold in bags rather than the iconic tube, making them lunchbox-friendly. Available in stores now, shoppers can buy multipack bags containing six individual 20g bags.
Response to Miniature Food Trend
Pringles said it created the new crisp in response to the trend for miniature food, with everything from mini burgers to beef wellingtons sold across stores. Beth Brushett of Pringles stated: “Mini products and bite-sized treats are having such a big cultural moment right now, so it felt like the perfect time to launch Pringles Minis. We’ve spent years perfecting a mini version of our iconic crisp that goes in a bag, making it the perfect addition to lunchboxes across the UK. We can’t wait to hear what Pringles fans think.”
