Lidl has given shoppers an early look at its upcoming Special Buys, including a £6.99 dress that closely resembles a £159 version from Next. The Esmara Ladies' Green Linen-Blend Dress will be available from Sunday, August 9, in the supermarket's Middle Aisle across the UK.
£6.99 dress vs £159 alternative
Lidl's £6.99 dress is made from a lightweight linen-viscose blend (87% viscose, 13% linen) and features a relaxed fit, midi length, round neckline, decorative knot, and long side slits. It comes in sizes small, medium, and large.
The dress is being compared to the BOSS Green Erlays Midi Dress sold at Next for £159. Both are khaki green with short sleeves, round neckline, side slits, and a decorative side knot. Next's version is 95% modal and 5% elastane, available in sizes 8 to 14. Choosing Lidl's version saves shoppers around £152.

Alongside the green dress, Lidl is also offering the same style in a geometric black-and-cream pattern and a plain beige colourway, each priced £6.99.
Shoppers can also buy a three-pack of Ladies' Ribbed Vest Tops With Lace for £6.99, available in colour combinations of blue/green/grey, light pink/dark pink/white, or white/black, sizes small to extra large. These vests are made with cotton and LYCRA for comfort and fit.
Other items include a three-pack of Ladies' Green Seamless Ribbed Briefs for £4.99, a ten-pack of Men's Cotton Rich Boxers for £14.99, a Grey Linen-Blend Shirt for £7.99 (also available in blue and stripe), and Esmara Men's Dark Grey Linen Blend Trousers for £8.99.
