Marks & Spencer has launched a new ice cream flavour that has caught the attention of food enthusiasts. The retailer's Collection Toscano Olive Oil Ice Cream is now available in M&S Foodhalls across the UK.
The product was unveiled on social media, where M&S described it as an 'intriguing' flavour that customers need to 'try it to believe it'. The ice cream is made with West Country double cream and M&S Toscano Olive Oil, produced by a family-owned dairy in Devon.
Olive oil ice cream gained viral status last summer, partly due to singer Dua Lipa revealing it as one of her favourite treats. M&S has now made the flavour more accessible, noting it is 'perfect for the foodies who don't like things too sweet'.
The supermarket suggests serving the ice cream on its own or with an extra drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt for a 'simple and perfectly delicious' dessert. The 344g tub is priced competitively within the premium ice cream range.
Shoppers have expressed excitement in the comments, with many calling the flavour 'intriguing' and expressing a desire to try it. The launch comes as warmer weather fuels demand for summer-inspired treats.
