M&S axes 'dream' Peppermint Bark Cookies this Christmas, fans heartbroken
M&S axes Peppermint Bark Cookies for Christmas, fans upset

Marks and Spencer has confirmed that its viral Peppermint Bark Cookies will not be returning this Christmas, leaving fans disappointed. The festive treat, which launched in November 2025, became a hit with shoppers before disappearing from shelves.

Why the Cookie Was Dropped

The cookie featured a rich chocolate base combined with dark and white chocolate, mint candy pieces, and peppermint oil. Responding to a social media post, an M&S spokesperson said: “We chose not to bring back the Peppermint Bark Cookie this year, as we always want to bring in new flavours to the Foodhall.”

For those still craving the treat, the spokesperson suggested alternatives: “However, if you’re still hankering after them, pick up our Peppermint & Chocolate Wafer Rolls or Chocolate Peppermint Bark the next time you’re in store.”

Fans React on Social Media

Disappointed customers took to social media to plead for the cookies’ return. On TikTok, @gracie.smith0_0 wrote: “I’m fully having withdrawals from them.” @kayleighkinnard1 added: “I’m actually heartbroken,” while @itsallaboutthebasetv exclaimed: “@Marks and Spencer, release the peppermint bark cookies you cowards!”

@thedeardiaries named them his “dream” treat, and @holly_martinx called them “addictive”.

Other Festive Returns

Despite the disappointment, fans of other M&S festive treats can still enjoy the return of viral items such as the Gingerbread and White Chocolate cookies, alongside hundreds of other new and returning Christmas products landing in stores.
